Message from the VP of Stewardship Development on 7 Pillars
“And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ…” Ephesians 4:11-12
The Bible is very clear about Christians and the Church equipping each other to serve Christ and our community in a way that brings glory and honor to God, which ultimately leads others to a personal relationship in Jesus Christ.
It has been said that there are 2350 verses about money in the Bible; therefore, it is obvious that God is very concerned about how His children utilize this resource. Stewardship Development Services (SDS) began with the mission of empowering Christians to make God-pleasing decisions in how they save, insure and invest God’s resources. Imagine a place where every area of financial services (banking, insurance, investments, education, etc.) is available to Christians: where God is glorified and immorality is removed! It has been proven that if Christians do not Biblically evaluate where God’s resources go there is a greater possibility that they are actually saving, insuring, and investing in companies and causes that support immoral agendas such as; Abortion, Pornography, Homosexuality, Same Sex Domestic partner benefits, Alcohol, Tobacco, and Gambling!
Stewardship Development Services' mission is to come along side the pastor and his church, to help equip God’s people to secure a Biblical World view in relation to God’s resources of time, talent, treasure, temple, and talk. We accomplish our mission by teaching and facilitating the “7 Pillars of Biblical Stewardship” which is a scripture- rich, inductive Bible study that emphasizes group discussion and active participation. We have found that learning God’s Word through devoted meditation is a necessary activity that is transforming, Christians from seniors to young adults. In addition to our Bible study, SDS offers periodic webinars, workshops and seminars that are centered on Biblical passages and concepts.
Currently, our world economy is in an unprecedented debacle! What if God allowed this intentionally as a way for His church to become the agent of change the world desperately needs? Now is the time to be equipped to influence those whom we come in contact with. Remember that God has sent us to a thirsty and dark world!
Let’s be that “salt and light” together,
Pat Hail, Jr.
